Essentials of School Leadership

The practice of leadership and management begins with leading and managing self. In this introductory course on ‘Essentials of School Leadership’ participants will explore strategies for leading schools in a changing world. They will discover new ways to approach challenges of taking schools into the 21st century while maintaining the essence of human interactions.

The objective of this course is to sensitize you to the nuances of leadership and management.

This course consists of sessions, which will give you some theory and push you to some practice through a set of carefully designed case studies.

In this course, we attempt to force you to think, apply the knowledge and then look back and implement them in your own system. You cannot manage that effectively what you cannot do yourself. The practice of leadership and management begins with leading and managing the self.

In this introductory course, participants will explore strategies for leading in a changing world where adaptive pressures will continue to challenge all of us. They will discover new ways to approach complex organizational systems and take thoughtful action on the work we all face ahead. Most importantly, participants will reflect on how to move forward on the leadership challenges they care about most.
